Board of Directors 2016

Dean Newman, President, Longmont

Dean Newman, prior to retirement, served as a manager in various General Electric components, was Vice President of United Nuclear in Elmsford, N.Y., and Vice President of Apache Corporation in Minneapolis. MN.  His community activities have included President of Apache Foundation; Vice Chairman of the Business Economic Education Foundation and Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Minneapolis.  Dean has served as Treasurer of the Fire District Board and Senior Advisory Council in Allenspark.

Kellie Hudson, Longmont

Kellie Hudson brings a broad range of business and non-profit experiences. She is the owner of Hudson Integrative Health + One and has served on the board of Boulder Rural Fire Department, was the President of the Board for Niwot Youth Sports, and Niwot Softball, Inc.  She is currently a member of the Geneva Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council.

Brian Kozel, Evergreen

Brian Kozel is a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and brings over ten years experience to ASF. Brian also spends time volunteering with Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity of Bergen Park and the Evergreen Animal Protection League.

Sara Beery, Longmont

Sara J. Beery is a retired attorney, having practiced poverty law with Colorado Legal Services. She has been the Chair of the Board of Directors for the OUR Center, Chair of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, and served on the Geneva Area Aging on Aging Advisory Council and on the Advisory Board for Longmont Senior Services.
